[at timestamp 6:17] "The motion of the defendant is granted, the charges against the defendant on all counts are dismissed with prejudice, and he is released from the obligation of his bond."
If their questioning Rittenhouse’s silence in court is as egregious a violation as commentators say it is, then the prosecutor should be disbarred.
“Federal Government can still bring one of their “violated civil rights” charges.”
It’s long past time to vigorously enforce the 9th and 10th Amendments.
I’ll be interested in reading the fantasy of charging Rittenhouse with “violated civil rights”.
He ran away from the first attacker until cornered.
He was running away from the next 3 attackers.
He did not fire until _after_ being variously: cornered & shot at, kicked in the head, bludgeoned, and a split-second from being shot at.
(Mr. Count Two can go file “violated civil rights” charges against Rosenbaum for placing himself between Mr. 2 and Rittenhouse when grabbing the rifle’s muzzle, guaranteeing it would go off one way or another and send a projectile in Mr. 2’s direction.)
Rittenhouse tried REAL HARD to _not_ “violate civil rights”.
Their actions left him no choice but do or die.
If nothing else, “doctrine of competing harms” applies: you are allowed to violate a law (whatever strained verbiage is imputed to apply in this case) if following it will clearly cause far greater harm than disobeying it.
My understanding is if you buy a bond, the cost is a fraction of the bail but you don’t get your money back. If you post bail, you get your money back. Does somebody know which they chose? I recall one actor putting up 6 figures for the bail (not bond).
He should immediately press assault charges against the jump kick guy. It’s clear on video, who he is, and what he did.
“I bet Lin Wood calls the Rittenhouses wanting some of that money. He set up the original fundraiser after gofundme cancelled Kyle.”
********************************************************************
Those contributions were FOR KYLE… NOT FOR LIN WOOD. Screw Lin Wood, I’ve been pissed at him since he lobbied for NOT VOTING IN GEORGIA.
True for most states that allow bail bondsmen...however Wisconsin doesn't have such a system. The amount of bail must be paid in full to the court. That's why there was such a big stink about the unusually excessive bail amount and why Kyle spent time in jail awaiting donated funds.
re: “And, the President himself has immunity while President.”
Sue his PAC.
The Feds can and I would place a large sum of money they will.
I just hope the kids lawyers get their lawsuits filed before AG Garland sicks the Federal Blackbooted Individuals on Kyle.
Now I had not heard that. Amazing.
“President Poopy Pants and Merrick’s DOJ are probably brainstorming a scheme to shoehorn Federal Civil Rights violations against Kyle.”
I doubt it.
Rittenhouse shot three leftwing punks who were white. Two of those punks will never protest again, while the 3rd is missing a bicep.
If one of those guys had been black, then the DOJ would be looking into it.
Of course, the left cares less about winning in court these days because even when they lose, they get to send out the rioters and flood Twitter with propaganda.
And press charges on Grosgutz (sp?). Had they not assaulted him, he would not have been compelled to shoot back.
Thanks for clarifying. So he gets the money back? If so I would assume it would go back to the donors.
“Federal Government can still bring one of their “violated civil rights” charges.”
I’m game. Name the civil rights charges that the federal government can claim.
how about the people who were fired for contributing to Kyle?
do they have a cause of action?
“Federal charges on what? Rittenhouse has plenty of reason to sue them though.”
You’re right. No federal charges can be applied. But the usual low-IQ, brainwashed, defeatist old goats are checking in to smother any good news for our side.
That’s a whole separate discussion, likely hinging on jurisdiction’s view of “at-will employment”. The cop fired for donating $10 may very well have a case.
This just came In!!!!
House Judiciary Committee Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler called on the DOJ to review the Kyle Rittenhouse case for possible federal charges. Below is from his twitter feed
This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest.

To think I wasn’t really serious when I made my post. At times even I can forget as to the bottomless depths that this corrupt kakistocracy can reach.
I wouldn't be surprised if Merrick Garland has his crew working overtime this weekend to search the entire corpus of federal laws and regulations to try to find something to go after Kyle Rittenhouse with. They'll probably declare that the FBI aerial surveillance camera detected a protected pigeon flying over the riot and Rittenhouse's actions scared it.
I think everyone should be asking why did the FBI have their surveillance camera aimed right where Rosenbaum would attempt to kill Mr. Rittenhouse at that exact moment.
