Lawsuit: Alec Baldwin Had No Reason to Fire Gun During Scene Being Rehearsed
Breitbart ^ | 11/18/2021 | Staff

A lawsuit filed Wednesday alleges that Alec Baldwin recklessly fired a gun when it wasn’t called for in the script when he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins

-snip-

“There was nothing in the script about the gun being discharged by DEFENDANT BALDWIN or by any other person,” the lawsuit from script supervisor Mamie Mitchell says.

-snip-

According to discussions before the scene was filmed, it called for three tight shots of Baldwin: One on his eyes, one on a blood stain on his shoulder, and one on his torso as he pulled the gun from a holster, the lawsuit says.

There was no call for Baldwin to point the gun toward Hutchins and Souza, nor to fire it, the lawsuit says.

And it alleges Baldwin violated protocol by not checking the gun more carefully.

That's what I was thinking. Mostly replicas and I couldn't see the practicality if someone wanted a gun for self defense and needed to fire quickly.

Your knowledge is encyclopedic. Thanks again!

Sounds like he straight up murdered her in a very cold blooded way.

“...recklessly fired a gun when it wasn’t called for...”

I wasn’t aware of any time there was a reckless request in a script to fire a gun at anyone. They are not supposed to point the prop gun straight at anyone when they discharge it even during the filming.

There are times when the gun may be discharged at a camera, but if there needed to be a person operating the camera they would be protected by safety goggles, a safety visor and a perspex screen that withstands pretty much anything. Definitely a blank discharge. Rest of the time they use a remote.

This wasn’t a matter of an accidental mistake. It was a moron not following procedures that have been in effect since the early 1980’s trying to be cute. That’s not an accident, that negligence.

So it has little to do with the script anyway. They’re playing “spectacular” for no reason. The basics of what he did wrong already covers the conclusion of the stupidity and ego.

Ping. It's looking like my anonymous commenter over on the other website had it right.

And I forgot to mention, this commenter said they were on the set when the accident happened. Maybe it was just someone looking for a little attention, but this current bit of information seems to support what the anonymous commenter said had happened.

The DA is a Soros DA. She’s a lesbian with a “wife”. She will let Baldwin skate regardless of the facts and evidence.

We used to lock up these sort of nuts in nut houses. I think the nation was better back when we did that.

I never could fire accurately with a double action. I always cock the hammer back and then fire. Doing it that way I can hit a target decently. Trying to do it double action, it just never goes right.

Its practice. You have to have the hand strength for the long heavy pull, but its mostly just practice.

If that is true then there was no need for a gun that could fire blanks. A completely non-firing replica would have been sufficient.

That is why they have rubber guns and non-firing replicas for use as props. No shooting in the scene? No need for a gun that can shoot anything.

The day after this happened I read, but never saw it again, that someone on set said that AB was ranting and raving, I think it was about politics and was wildly waving the gun, then pointed at the camerawoman and said expletives and then pulled the trigger( don’t quote me on sequence). I never heard about ti afterward. I wonder if it is true. I also wonder what this person who field a civil suit listed as a cause of action—how was she harmed?

I just saw THE GODLESS on Netflix. There were hundreds and hundreds of bullets flying all over the place in that movie. It looked real, yet no one was hurt.
