I think Kant understood that there is an underlying reality that exists independent of human perception. The woke seem to have the puerile notion that reality is whatever they perceive or feel it to be.

Exactly. Its a similar misunderstanding that causes people to get relativism from the Theory of Relativity or weird new age philosophies from Quantum Field Theory.

Kant also understood, and coined the term, “Categorical Imperative” that there are things that are right, that must be done, even if you do not understand them or want to believe them.

Ayn Rand in her essays would hyperventilate in a rage about Kant. Something I never understood, my attitude in reading that was ‘Okay you disagree enough already !”. It seemed much more then Kant being a Christian and accepting some form of Platonic archetypes. It seemed very personal and I am sure they never met ! (A joke ! Explaining for those Rand fan readers who are humor impaired !)
