Last word of the quote broke it open.
Started with the last three letters of the last word which - luck! - got me the whole word. The rest was easy except for XX...had to go through the alphabet in my head until the bitter end.
Heh, funny, but I, too, had never heard of the author and had to google after solving.
This was a good one. Had to resort to letter frequency, common letter pairs and trial and error.
