The mRNA vax was explained to me in football terminology.

The jab teaches the defense (immune system) how to defend against one offensive play: for example, a run up the middle. It then programs the entire immune system to defend against that one play.

If a different play is run by the offense, say a simple out route, the defense jams up the gaps in the middle, leaving the wide receiver open on the sideline --> touchdown.

So any play run other than the run up the middle is going to have success because that's the only play the defense knows how to defend against.

I had assumed successive jabs and boosters would be teaching the immune system to defend against other offensive plays, but I'm not sure if that's how it works.

Hmm.

It has seemed to me lately that people are rather subdued and absent at work. I’ve noticed some significant inactivity, to the extent that it is noticeable.

I don’t know. I can’t be sure because we all work from home.

I’ve only been to the office twice all year.

But it just seems the emails are fewer. The postings to SharePoint fewer. The task trackers are not filled out as much.

I’m wondering if people are getting Covid—or something else.

I was wondering if you can explain where, when, and how an mRNA vaccine would make sense.

I get the obvious that if someone is suffering from a hard to treat terminal cancer they don’t have much to lose with trying an experimental mRNA “vaccine” for it, but on a biochemical level, why and how would such a vaccine work in Situation A but not Situation B?

I’m thinking some of us might get the chance to do some edumacatin’ on Thursday.

Oh, and another reason could be the possibility of being out of a job come December. I still have not heard back on my exemption and if I’m not approved, I’m unemployed as of December 8. So the last thing I’m doing right now is starting any new projects.

Well, all the “not knowing” and worry about what’s going to happen next has affected my office. We all accomplish half what we did before...and feel exhausted doing it. The constant vigilance of distancing, making sure your mask is placed correctly, trying to breathe and talk through a mask, pressure to be vaxxed, and concern/mistrust when anyone sneezes, is almost paralyzing.

Especially if you are convinced this is ridiculous.

I get an email EVERY DAY to remind me to submit proof of my WEEKLY testing. Everything is overshadowed by the virus.
