Everyone is waiting with baited breath for the Rittenhouse verdict. So many comments/commentaries on what is going to happen. If he is aquitted, the Anti-fa/BLM/Leftists will riot, claiming that their soldiers were unfairly gunned down/wounded and justice was not served. If he is found guilty, they are still going to riot. The reason is that they are going to claim that their guys were justified in trying to beat up/kill Rittenhouse and they will see that they have advocacy/protection from the government for rioting, looting, destruction of property, and assault/killing of conservatives. It will be open season on conservatives and stealing from stores, but especially on taking vengeance on conservatives.
It doesn't matter what verdict the jury returns, there will still be violence. The only way to stop ALL of this is for Federal law enforcement, police and The National Guard to arrest and/or shoot rioters who fight with them or shoot at them, that means ANY RIOTERS OR PERSON DAMAGING PROPERTY, HURTING/KILLING ANYONE AND CAUSING PROBLEMS IN THE STREETS such as blocking streets/highways , etc., no matter what their political affiliation. A law must be passed and enforced that NO protesters make take ANY weapon with them to a protest. Should be immediate imprisonment with hard labor and/or caning if ANY protester is caught at a protest with a weapon or gets in a fight. A lot of people will decide to stay home and settle down. Something must be done to stop all of the violence cold turkey.
I had to chuckle at the ‘caning’ part.
But I agree, curfew and lockdown the town. Anyone on the street gets to spend not a night but a week with the Natl Guard while they undergo mental health checks. Anyone evading the Natl Guard has to deal with businessowners loaded with nonlethal saltrock and paintball loads to tag the troublemakers. Get serious about controlling manufactured violence.
I can't imagine much that would please the anti-gunners more than to outlaw firearms using a vague term like "protest".
I recall seeing a video of the armed citizens of Boise taking to the streets with their openly carried firearms. I don't think Antifa/BLM even showed up.
When word gets out that attempting to disarm a person carrying an AR15 results in shots fired, the rioters will get the message.
Your solution seems to depend greatly on the authorities enforcing disarmament equitably. Where do you see any signs of that? Even if the authorities tried to disarm everybody, do you really think the Rosenbaums of the world are going to behave?
Rosenbaum's mission was to demonstrate that unarmed people have nothing to fear from armed citizens. The unarmed "protesters" can simply take away the weapons of the law-abiding and there is nothing that the law-abiding can do about it. That is the question that the Rittenhouse jury is working on. Let's hope they get it right.

Our Founders included the Second Amendment so that the standing army you are describing would be unnecessary. The citizens of Boston experienced the occupation of their city by the Army and the attendant disarmament. They didn't like it.

This is the way it will be for all time now. And if you’re a juror on a controversial case you’re going to be very paranoid that something bad will happen to you or your family.

I'm kind of wondering why BLM, that is, black lives matter is even remotely interested in a case where a white guy shot three other white guys. Kind of out of your wheelhouse BLM, isn't it? Unless you're just looking for an excuse, any excuse, to cause mayhem.
Self-defense stands in the way of a Communist takeover and BLM is a Communist front. It’s easy to understand.

It's been that way for decades. They'll use any excuse to take what they want, and destroy a city along the way.
Oh, wait. if the local authorities were concerned about controlling violent bad behavior and avoiding the negative consequences, Kyle Rittenhouse would not have been out in the street with a rifle in the first place.
It’s the only thing I see working.
They’re just in it for the rioting, looting and burning. They don’t give a flying rat’s rear-end (Rush used to say that) about the social crap.
