In Panama, citizens returning from another country must show a QR Code at the airport upon arrival. It happened to me in early November. A gentleman worked with me to update my records then I was able to get into the short line and whisked through immigration. However, it took about 15 minutes for my records to be updated.

For now, it is not used as proof to get you in or out of any businesses except the casinos where they would have accepted written vaccine records had I pushed the issue.

What I can’t stand is how these QR Codes have replaced menus at restaurants. Unless I order from memory, I have to stop going to them.

Anyone who thinks (not you) that this will not eventually come to planet Earth, is not paying very close attention.

I have predicted they'll eventually want to put the QR code on YOU - because your phone might not work, be out of range / you don't have service where you traveled, or you just plain forgot your phone.

But if the QR code is on YOU, say eventually your right hand or your forehead...(sounds crazy but then if I told you about the last 2 years, 20 years ago, you wouldn't believe that one either).
