Surely there must be a liberty loving, constitutional conservative in that state for the GOP to be competitive?

Interesting fact is that Pat Leahy was the only Dem to be elected to U.S. Senate from there.
So will the seat go to the Dem or someone claiming their independent/socialist and whoever Bernie endorses?
Does Bernie have that much clout?

What surprises many about VT is how pro gun they are. Even hard core lefties tread very lightly around the third rail of death, i.e. gun control.

Democrats always run their campaigns as if they were centrists then, once elected, pivot toward Pelosi and Schumer. Take a page from their playbook.

Rand does a good job at it. He’s a full throttled libertarian but you wouldn’t know it when you see him.
Just look at his voting record and stuff like that.
The Governor of Vermont, Phil Scott, is a Republican. So I suppose electing a Republican Senator is not out of the question. Yet, the ‘Ben and Jerry’ crowd controls Vermont.
If they're hiding it then how do you know you're voting for a staunch Republican and not just another RINO?
People heating with other than wood in VT are going to get smoked by the high prices. Hopefully they connect the dots.
We need to run conservatives in both the Republican and Dem primaries. Steal a page from their playbook. So either way we have a chance of winning.
I would hope that some libertarian get is before a democrat.
The chances for a decent republican are slim to non, although I have met some very conservative, grassroots Vermonters. Even some Trump signs on the backroads in VT last election cycle.
