Minority enrollment is 96% of the student body (majority Hispanic), which is higher than the Colorado state average of 47% (majority Hispanic). Any questions? Yeah. The racial makeup of nearby Columbine where one of the most infamous mass school shootings in US history occurred was overwhelming White— including the shooters. What’s your point?

My high school .... over 50 years ago. It was a great high school then.

My hs, too. My daughter goes there now.

Columbine high school is not anywhere near Central Aurora high school. At least 20 miles apart. Completely different demographic.

Although the word is overused, Aurora is very diverse. It is a large suburb just east of Denver and started building out after WWII. North Aurora's housing stock was built cheap and is deteriorating. The area became primarily black but Hispanics are pushing them out of many neighborhoods. It is a high crime area. Aurora Central was named many years ago and is in what is now considered North Aurora.
South Aurora has many affluent neighborhoods, mostly white, and has some pretty good high schools.

But both in the greater Denver metro.

An 18-year-old victim with minor injuries got to the hospital on their own after the initial incident. A single victim becames a multiple?

Not even in the same counties. Separated from each other by Denver City and county. Night and day are part of the same 24 hour span, yet night and day are very divergent. The old folks home and the elementary school may be 5 miles away from each other yet they are not in the same neighborhood. The country club and the housing projucts may be 4 miles apart and in the same city, yet they are not in the same neighborhood.

I remember lots of good schools over fifty five years ago. Many of them went downhill after 1964. Wonder why.

Does the AP stylebook now ban "his" and "her"? Is bad grammar now mandatory?

Twenty miles is relatively close, nationally speaking. That wasn’t my point. If you missed it, thats OK; my comment wasn’t directed to you.

Columbine was an extravagant murder-suicide plot, months in the planning. This sounds like a spontaneous outburst of gang violence.
