Anybody else here opt out of part B? Iโ€™m finding self-pay discounts are good but medical billing is a crooked mess.

I've been blissfully ignorant on Medicare...last two years, I've been regular Part A, Part B. My prescriptions have been paid by my wife's plan.

I opted out of employer's plan, when I returned to work 4 months ago. It was a hassle when I worked a part time job at UPS, their medical plan was fully paid. I didn't realize I had to notify Medicare that UPS became primary, Medicare secondary. In the end, it worked out well, except for getting Covid at work in March 2020.

Current employer is anti-vax, good thing since I've got natural immunity. I wasn't immune to wife's honey-dos, a big reason why I went back to work...lol.

Good for you, maddog. We’re staying put, kids and grandkids are all close by. Trying to keep things simple.

Why are medical costs going up?
People want drugs and treatment, no matter the cost, because they aren’t paying for it. Then they want to sue if it doesn’t work.

Most of the increase looks like a gift to the makers of the $56,000 a year Alzheimer’s drug. The drug may go away but the increase in premiums never will.

however I tend to blame those who perfected the Art of the Steal !

That's perfectly understandable, but now that's it's perfected *and* deployed, we need leadership. The impotence of the Republican Party, in the face of mass voter theft, is obvious and shameful. They are so petrified of being called a racist by racists, they would prefer that the electoral system burn, and our voters plundered.

The Democrats deserve to lose next November; the Republicans donโ€™t deserve to win.

Not incompetence. Driven by Obama’s band of jackals. AOC, Bernie, Ilhan Omar, Pressley, those NYC creeps, Pelosi, etc.

So much for the 5.9% SS raise. It happens every time. SS gets a raise and medicare raises their prices defeating the whole purpose of a SS raise. SMH.
