If the picture above is accurate, I am trying to see how they rolled down...
The picture is accurate, but the trail has a bunch of switch backs as you climb to the bridge and then beyond to the top. Pretty step in parts. Also pretty damp all the time. So slipping and sliding is very possible. But more likely slipped and rolled/slid down. I doubt they “fell” 100 feet.
But that area is beautiful.
That’s the grand view of the falls. Plenty of other places there. I’ve seen helicopter “rescues” locally that were a joke. Just slide on your ass ‘til you hit the beach.
