LOL. Same here.
Hey, I was talking with my wife about when to draw Social Security and I was taking a look at the “Average Life Expectancy” tables last week.
I know this is common sense BUT as you get older, your ALE goes way up. For a 20-year-old the odds of reaching 100 are very small, but if you are 99 and your birthday is next month, your odds are much, much better.
Bottom line, for us old folks we have a lot more years left than most seem to believe based on the population’s overall life expectancy.
My tag name says it all.
I guess some morons need the four box approach shared with them, so bare with me dipshit.
We tried the soap box, that did not work
We tried the mail box, that has not worked
We tried the ballot box and you (maybe unless your dumber than what I think) see how that went
The only box not yet opened is the AMMO box.
Some folks will never get it but true Patriots understand there is going be a time when it is ripped open.
Now you government stoolie. Does that cover it for you. STOOLIE!!!
We should have an oldest freeper contest.
I own stock. I am the only one in a family of 6 that is a millionaire after taxes. My dad saved but mom spent and spent as did the oldest daughter his money. The 2 other sisters blow the money they get.
I have uncles who are worth millions and cousins who should be in that range plus I have a cousin whose husband worked at Goldman Sachs for 25 years as a stock analyst and he is not rich but wealthy. Only the Goldman Sachs guy shows his wealth with multiple homes. His vacation home in Nantucket has a guest house for the staff... the rest have normal homes and do not spend much except on travel.
I am 66, remember milk/bread deliveries and dr’s house calls.
Mom stayed home Dad worked, as a teen wanted stuff had to work for it. only have a couple of aunts left both in their late 80’s.
I think I’d win. Hands down!
Thanks to hard work, consistent saving and watching our investments for decades.
Thank you,Ma’am! That’s a ‘must save’ for me and will send to grandkids in their ‘20s.
I had typing class in 10th grade (lots of girls there), and skill served me well in military and college. Learned the 2 spaces after a period and still do it. ...Drives me nuts to try to read a long paragraph with only 1 space used, as everything seems to run together.
Thumbs up!
Didn’t have a refrigerator until ~ 1951. Always had Borden’s milk, Manor bread, Jewel Tea, Fuller Brush and, of course, the ice man with blocks of ice for our ice box!
We kids would spread the word in the Summer and gather and follow him down our street. Each time he stopped he would chip off some slivers of ice to give to us.
Well... You’ve been on FR longer than most of us, but that doesn’t mean you’re the oldest.
btw... I’m 79.
Ive got a few years on you, but won’t count!!!
I once asked my pastor why the church took care of interests the senior citizens of the church?
His reply, “They have all the money.”
