It’s all theater. I have to remind myself of that often because I do fall for what I like to hear from the Republicans a lot.
Once you know it’s theater, it’s easier to see. Government grows. Leaders simply do what they have to go get re-elected. Then they allow government to grow more, or force it to grow more.

Very few GOP politicians have a "radical" mindset necessary to enforce any change whatsoever on Fed.gov. The left is full steam ahead with expanding government as a tool of control and unlimited power. GOP members of government still hold the quaint notion that they will tweak, adjust and optimize this system.
The debt ceiling charade every year is a perfect example of this.
Get real. Expecting the 212 Republican members of the House to vote 100% together on every single bill is unrealistic, no matter who holds the Republican leadership.

When George HW Bush was sworn in, we became a ONE PARTY STATE with the occasional political insurrection that was carefully tamped down from time to time.
This is why all Republicans must stop voting for RINOs even if it means putting a Democrat in office. Voting for the lesser of two evils is insane as it always yields the same self-destructive results. The Republican National Committee and the GOP will only learn this way. For them to achieve and retain power, they will be forced to put up and support valid Republicans who will fight and defend our values, or they will cease to exist in office and power and a new party would then be powerful.

In a year everyone will be telling us how important it is to hold their seats and that they are the best options who can get elected. Look how happy people were to elect another phoney politician in VA. I’m not going to get outraged. People should go about their business. Stop voting and be willing to take up arms if it comes to it.
