By accurately counting deaths, Italy reduced its COVID death count by a staggering degree but the CDC shows no sign of following suit.
The Summit caught a fascinating story out of Italy: The Italian Higher Institute of Health decided it had miscounted COVID deaths. Instead of looking at people who died with COVID, as it once did, it looked only at people who died from COVID—leading to a 97% decrease in Italy’s COVID death count. So far, though, the CDC shows no signs of following suit.
According to The Summit:
The Italian Higher Institute of Health has drastically reduced the country’s official COVID death toll number by over 97 per cent after changing the definition of a fatality to someone who died from COVID rather than with COVID.
Italian newspaper Il Tempo reports that the Institute has revised downward the number of people who have died from COVID rather than with COVID from 130,000 to under 4,000.
“Yes, you read that right. Turns out 97.1% of deaths hitherto attributed to Covid were not due directly to Covid,” writes Toby Young.

Did hospitals in Italy get paid $41,000 a pop by the government for every covid diagnosis they could come up like the hospitals did in the U.S.?
Did anyone ever find out where the funds came from that were paid to the hospitals?
I wouldn’t look for the CDC to correct anything until auditors are sent into hospitals and that doesn’t seem likely under the current administration.

It sounds like many of the deaths were people who were so sick from comorbidities that all it took is some problem from an illness for their comorbidity to cause their death. I am not sure how those should be scored, but if it were the flu their death would be scored as diabetes or heart disease or whatever the health issue was. Statistics....

Won’t happen in Texas and Florida.

Any such checkpoint should be destroyed by citizens. Those running it will be shot by snipers (hunters). This can’t be tolerated.
Back when this all began, I remember an Italian doctor saying that 95% of the fatalities were so sick with other things they’d be dead within a year anyway.
