How did Cranberries ever get into this feast? Yuk.

The first Thanksgiving was in Massachusetts. Massachusetts is known for lobsters and cranberries. I imagine there were lots of wild turkeys in the 17th century, too.

The canned Ocean Spray version is so sweetened that it is rendered inoffensive to those who don't like tartness.

The real offensive thing is macaroni and cheese. I made it a condition of marriage that it would never enter my house. My future wife agreed.

The folks who made this "survey" don't know how to spell "marshmallow".

Our mom used to serve the less processed version of canned cranberries, which still had the shells.

It seemed like we were eating sticks and twigs.

No it wasn't. “Thanksgiving” was a frequent offering anywhere.

You Pilgrims were not the first (English) in the US territories and were not the first to offer up “thanksgiving”.

Even Columbus did this on the Caribbean shores.
