Alec Baldwin shares 'Rust' crew member's post slamming reports of 'unsafe, chaotic conditions'

Alec Baldwin took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a message on Instagram from one of the "Rust" movie crew members. He captioned the post: "Read this."

The post came from Terese Davis, who appears to have been a part of the costume department.

"I'm so sick of this narrative," Davis began. "I worked on this movie. The story being spun of us being overworked and surrounded by unsafe, chaotic conditions is bulls--t."

Davis then discussed the amount of time the crew worked and how they were not "too tired to do their jobs."

"This is all provable by daily time sheets," she shared.

Davis also addressed reports that crew members were promised hotel rooms near the Santa Fe, New Mexico set. However, after the second week of production, they reportedly learned that the production would no longer be footing the bill for hotels.

"The camera crew HAD hotels. They just didn't feel they they were fancy enough," Davis claimed.

Davis defended the producers of "Rust," stating "concerns were heard and addressed."

She then claimed that the crew had a "union rep" who advised production to "not give into the camera crew" and they were "given permission to hire off" of a union overflow list.

Davis went on to discuss the hiring of armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and assistant director Dave Halls, stating that Gutierrez had a good resume and "great references." She said Halls "never seemed flippant about safety." She did note that Halls was "stressed" that day because of the camera crew walkout and "obviously he screwed up majorly that day."

"We had several safety meetings. Sometimes multiple per day," she said.

Davis concluded her note by stating that this was about "gun safety" and that she'll fight for better gun safety and no longer using live guns on-set

All that has nothing to do with Baldwin unsafely practicing “fanning” a single action revolver.

Red herring. The hotel issue was not the camera crew, but for the local labor that was hired to do most of the on set work. Most of them live in Albuquerque, a two hour drive from Santa Fe. They wanted Santa Fe hotels but Barwin and his fellow producers not only said no, but printed tee shirts making fun of them. It was a freaking circus.

I have been to Santa Fe many times. There are uber fancy hotels but also many reasonably priced. Santa Fe also allows AirBnB, which can be a very nice but affordable option for long term stays.

Gee, I wonder where Barwin was staying???

His lawyer must be face-palming. He’s facing possible legal action based on this incident and he’s bloviating all over social media about it? If he was my client I would tell him to STFU or be fired.

If Alec Baldwin had a competent attorney representing him in this matter, I would think that the first words from that attorney would be, SHUT UP! AND STAY THAT WAY!!

He needs to shut it. Does he not realize he may face criminal charges of his own?

He’s thinking about his pocket book

He’s the executive producer. He’s ultimately responsible for safety

but printed tee shirts making fun of them.

Seldom mentioned in the MSM. Why? Because that is bullying and making for a toxic work environment.

Also, given the demographics of New Mexico most of the local hires were probably Hispanics. Now mind you, some families in New Mexico go back to before any Europeans had settled in what became the 13 Colonies, but a lot are more recent arrivals. Still, it’s a pretty good bet they were making fun of mostly Hispanic workers.

“I hope this movie bombs big time.”

With all this free PR?

Here’s a vicea versa forya

The mainstream media, Dan Rather in particular, we’re really picking hard on “The Passion” back when Mel Gibson was putting it together. Every night practically there seemed to be a negative report about The Passion. Passion this, Passion that, ‘today on the set of the passion...’ You get the picture.

Well that created free publicity and I think millions and upon millions of people globally went to see that movie (or purchased it),who otherwise probably would not have because the negative PR created and pounded out every night was totally obsessive. Olberman could not have done better (maybe... maybe not)... all this became International News thanks to Danny Boy Rather and the press who were really trying to create a false crises, discredit Gibson, and/or make the movie bomb horribly at the box office failed miserably. Tho’ it will never be spoken of aloud.

The Passion was a global success as a result. After market sales of media and formats took off.

I speculate the possibility exists that Baldwin could get professionally “Munson’d” over this... a bi-line on a Hollywood roundup gossip show 50 years from now... fades into obscurity with both a sham and documented farce for a epilog. That is totally sad.

I doubt this film gets made now. Lawsuits for years to come. Baldwin tied up in court. Insurance will be dropped.
It's dead, Jim.

Alec Baldwin is one of those unsafe conditions. His daddy taught firearm use to high school kids. Alec didn’t learn anything then and probably doesn’t earn much now.
