It blocks various light rays; I think that’s why it’s called dark. The disturbing idea is that “space” is not really empty.

Some years ago I postulated that the rest of the universe was trying to get away from Earth, which is the epicenter of dumb in the cosmos.
And that “dark matter” represented the parts that could hide themselves from us as well as move farther away.
