All that time, I thought Tiramisu was Japanese in orgin.
The ‘MISU’ is similar to MISO in Japan’s Miso Soup.

One of my favorites, too. A friend as well; sadly he passed in 2019.

A few have claimed to have invented tiramisu. It's surprising its such a young invention.

I thought Tiramisu was Japanese in orgin. The ‘MISU’ is similar to MISO in Japan’s Miso Soup. I sympathize! Must have been quite a shock when they put the bean-curd thing in front of you instead of ambrosia.

I think eating raw eggs is gross. Please tell me that there are no raw eggs in Twinkies. Because I actually like them. I have a box in the freezer right now.

Oh, I’ve never eaten it. I’m only going by the way the word looks.

" No, man. Ducks are NOT dessert! "They are if you're a horney mallard!

The best Italian dessert is coffee laced with a healthy dose of Disaronno Amaretto. Maybe some whipped cream on top.

Duck à l’orange
Actually I’ve only had a roasted duck leg and that was about 1982

He may have been credited with creating that dessert but I doubt that he invented it. I recall eating that as a child at neighbor lady’s house in the mid 1950’s in Vicenza, Italy. The best Italian cuisine (or for that matter French cuisine) is prepared by ordinary housewives in home kitchens!

" I’ve only had a roasted duck leg and that was about 1982 "Where do you start eating a duck leg, at the hip or the foot webbing?
