I agree with you that it’s likely that Covid vaccinations may be more likely to be reported because they are new.

On the other hand, some may be less likely to report because they have convinced themselves the vaccines are good and can’t be responsible for the adverse effects. Some may think the vaccines are good for society, so they won’t report. Some may feel threatened not to report.

There is speculation that the CDC is slow walking some reporting. There is also speculation that some reporting that is being removed.

I can’t figure out from here whether Covid adverse effects are being under or over reported, relative to other vaccines. Can you?

A while back, I estimated the number of doses of other vaccines to come up with a rate of adverse effects. The Covid vaccines were at least 6 times as likely, per dose, to have an adverse effect reported. There were also significantly different rates for the different Covid vaccines. Correlation may not mean causation, but the evidence is compelling.

Nope. I think it's extremely difficult to know given that it's a self-reporting mechanism.

It seems you would need a rigorous, proactive monitoring program of vaccinated people to see how consistent they were in reporting events following different vaccinations. Don't know who would pay for that.

"Reported" being the key word.
