That was before Epstein didn't kill himself in prison--possibly (cough) to protect the reputations of his well-connected clients.

I came along this story on Yahoo…….it was posted there by “Insider”, I don’t know much about them but in their story they gave credit to Vice as the lead in it.
So, to get the story from the horses mouth, I clicked on the link and went to Vice.
As far as Gilbert is concerned, I don’t know him. I don’t know if he’s a popular Leftist or not. This was the first story by him that I believe I read and the first I posted.
One would have be really foolish and possible afraid to leave their bubble and Not desire to know what the other side hears, reads, or thinks.

First of all, you will only find the enemy described as the 'world elite' in articles written by the enemy describing what 'Q followers' believe/claim.
Actual Q followers don't use that term. They use terms like 'deep state', 'cabal', and use specific names identifying the enemy (Soros, Rothschild, Clinton, etc).

First of all, 'conservative movement' encompasses people like Mitt Romney, the Bush family, Mitch McConnell , the Lincoln Project, and a host of other derps pretending to be conservatives. This, according to the fake conservatives themselves and the scribblings of the enemy itself. So right off the bat, you're the one that's confused.
The 'conservative movement' has been infiltrated and corrupted and has about as much meaning as the term 'racist'. And that is a very small number.
The Q movement is a movement of PATRIOTS. To crowbar it into 'conservatives' is to miss the point. Which is something you do on a daily basis.
If you were to understand the Q movement and THE GREAT AWAKENING, first you need to understand the basics, which you don't.
Once you understand the basics and who the enemy is, you would see that you are doing the enemy's work.

I'm actually not a Q follower, and I've seen the name "Q" referred to--mostly by opponents--but I don't know what "Q" is. Any use I make of the idea of a "World Elite"--or the "old boys' network"--is strictly traditional, and from my own experience.
In England, "old boys" were men who had been to one of Britain's ancient, elite, private high schools--called "public schools" because they were never directly run by Church or state. Their graduates populate Oxford or Cambridge, and then government, diplomacy, intelligence services, the higher ranks of the military, the Courts, and major corporations and law firms.
Our Ivy League and smaller elite, private colleges serve the same function in America. I went to one of those American colleges. I watched friends, most of whom were much more conservative than I as undergrads, turn into pro-socialist, anti-American, antifa-bankrolling "wokesters" after spending a certain number of years in their professional associations and networks. We corresponded while they were discovering the opportunities that would open up if they collaborated and became leaders in the anti-American, pro-Communist, anti-family, anti-white movements through their professional associations--which are crucial for getting jobs and referrals. I watched them start with harmless volunteer side-work that would look good on their resumés to active collaboration with anti-American, family-persecuting non-profits and state bureaucracies, and companies committing fraud against the political process.
Two of my friends who took this route became presidents of their state Bar Associations. Others became regulars at the World Economic Forum, etc., where Americans and foreigners come together to divide up the American people's wages and wealth. Another acquaintance actually managed to get in trouble. A major wokester in college (his parents had been rich Communists), he lost his powerful statewide office when his decades of forcing female employees and colleagues into sex became too disgusting to cover up.
Others at the "right" law firms were directly involved in covering up Bill Clinton's sex scandals, and bragged about their triumphs at our college reunions.
All this is no mystery. Men go where the money and influence are, and many of them will be tempted from all walks of life to conspire against their countries, their God, and all that is true, good and beautiful. Like normal men, they trade job referrals, tips on investment opportunities, and a culture common to their industry and social class.
Unlike normal men, many are in positions, for a time, where they can pull big levers that cause or enable worldwide catastrophes and profit from the process--and help others to do the same. The takeaway is that classes of business-government elites constantly form and grow, and sometimes draw the main herd right off the cliff--planning to escape to a pre-selected safe space and avoid the same fate.
As you might imagine, when men have gone this deep, they have given up all hopes or fears concerning what awaits them after death.
That’s a very intriguing story.
