Alec Baldwin Was Epic Jerk

Hates guns, doesn’t respect them at all therefore never learned how to handle them safely.
Condescension and arrogance are a deadly combination.
Baldwin’s commentary on shootings is much worse than that. In a Feb. 17, 2006, blog post on The Huffington Post about Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shooting his friend (nonfatally) during a hunting trip, Baldwin had no decency. “Cheney is a terrorist. He terrorizes our enemies abroad and innocent citizens here at home indiscriminately. Who ever thought Harry Whittington would be the answer to America’s prayers. (?) Finally, someone who might get that lying, thieving Cheney into a courtroom to answer some direct questions.”
Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Explains so much.
Collins Iyare Idehen Jr., better known as Colion Noir, is an American gun rights activist, lawyer, and host of the web series NOIR.
This guy is well spoken and well trained, first I've heard of him.
The dems have always been against teaching gun safety (because they want more deaths so they can seize guns from non-violent people like us)
***Always assume a gun is loaded.**
I made that mistake once and shot a hole in the hood of my truck, 55 years ago. Haven’t made that mistake since.
Yes...I was thinking “anti-brain.”
Bingo. Narcissism is a prerequisite for actors and actresses.
Hi.
This should be intuitive...
If a person hands you a weapon, what is the first thing you check? (Keeping the barrel up and down range).
5.56mm
I feel sorry for the family of the woman who died.
I could not give a flying crap about Smart Alec Baldwin.
Exactly.
Being so enamored with how bad it is that guns are dangerous, Baldwin framed his thinking as “guns should not be dangerous” which, when coupled with “I’m a good person who does things correctly” and “there’s a gun in my hand” generates the cognitive dissonance of “this gun is not dangerous”. Result was no imperative to personally prove “it’s not loaded”, and no qualms about pointing it at another human & pulling the trigger.
Couple this with the many other examples of “gun safety instructors” and other nominally anti-gun people who end up shooting people “accidentally”.
Contrast that with most gun enthusiasts, who are mostly self-trained to, when receiving a gun, immediately remove the magazine, lock the slide/bolt open, check the chamber, and either dry-fire it (safe direction) or remove the slide/bolt entirely - while conspicuously leaving the magazine removed. Even then, most are squeamish about pointing the proven-safe gun at someone, and moreso about then pulling the trigger - knowing the grave consequences if a mistake was made.
Don't mean to pick nits, but I suffered through a bout with an NPD. Brutal, but I eventually (with A LOT of help) healed.
My profile has some of what I learned, but a 'simple' narcissist is way more benign than NPD, please trust me on this.
Nice description LOL
