“the lazy people that would rather stay home and live off of my tax dollars instead of getting a job, forcing folks”

Not during the Trump era when the costs you’ve cited were lower (gas insurance, col, vehicle prices, vehicle availability, travel distance, home costs, ...) A job then was GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT.

Just yesterday I saw a truck with a “Buck Fiden” bumper sticker.

A friend of hers said there was no lobster at Red Lobster, either. She didn’t pull a gun and shoot the place up, though.

I was shopping at Walmart this past weekend and a good 50% of the people were wearing masks again.

I’ve not worn one except the rare occasions I have to go in the office or to doctor/dental offices.

Here in NJ the same dynamic is at work; companies that are busy won’t hire more help - so the existing employees are looking for the exits as their workload crushes them (on stagnant wages). Potential employees appear for interviews but turn down the work because wages are too low for what is expected; the minimum wage here is $12/hour so if you expect an employee to push his/herself you must pay more.

Anyone who thinks they’ll hire warehouse help for backbreaking work for $13 or $14 per hour ends up with no new employees and injured, angry, older employees...

I haven’t seen a mask in central VA in months except at the dentist office. They hand them out.

Trying to curry favor with the voters? Or at least not piss them off?
