Want to gauge how "real" it is? Has the official done anything to increase his or her security posture for themselves and their families? I don't mean simply asking the state police to protect them. I mean change their daily routine, start taking different routes to/from work, change up their hours. Change vehicles. Cancel soccer practice. I mean actually do any of the things you do to improve your security - things that require some sacrifice or changes on your part. If the officials haven't made sacrifices and changes like that, then it is because they are not taking the threat(s) seriously - probably because they know they are not real.

That’s my thought too. I’m not hearing much about the people behind these threats being arrested, much less convicted. And what with today’s advanced technology, it should be the simplest thing to track them down.
