My University of Minnesota Golden Gophers are 5-2 and in 2nd place in the Big 10 West - right behind #9 Iowa.
We play Iowa for Floyd of Rosedale, a giant bronze pig, since the 1930’s or so. Beating Iowa is just as good as making it to a bowl game.

Yeah, I know were not nationally ranked but anytime Golden Gophers football is over .500 in a season, it’s time to be optimistic. But not too optimistic because if you’re a Golden Gophers fan, you know the heartbreak of many last-minute losses and screw-ups for decades.

I’m a longtime Astros fan, but I’m so glad the Braves got in, for the very reason you mention.
The Wokeholes took the All Star game away from Atlanta to take that revenue it generates and punish Georgia and now there’ll be some nice World Series revenue instead. I hope the Wokeholes are seething.

Well, I’ve been a Tennessee Vol fan all my life...My first Tennessee game, I saw Johnny Majors as tailback (1956)...
It’s been a while since we’ve had anything, but I still pull for them...Hopefully, they’ll come back before I’m gone...
Now that Florida can’t beat Kentucky anymore, at least we still have Tennessee to count on for an automatic win.

For seasons 1998-2013 that was the BCS: Bama 3, Georgia 0.
For seasons 1936-1997 that was the AP poll (counting tied for 1st): Bama 7, Georgia 1.
Before that I count the Rose Bowl (since the newspapers all ran stories like "Who is going to be picked as champions of the east and champions of the west?" and "Who will win to prove they're the best in the country?", and counting tied game): Alabama 4, Georgia 0.
I sum that up as Bama 17, Georgia 1.
