Hidden Heroes!

Posted on 10/24/2021 9:54:29 AM PDT by Mrs. Warrior

Within each of our hearts lies a potential hero, and when a call for help is heard, the hero inside breaks open the flesh and bone barriers and leaps into life; one person coming to the aide of another.

Our daughter may loose her job due to the federal employees vaccination concerns. In my concern for her and our grandchildren, I was trying to find a way to offer her a job where she could work in the safety and shelter of her mothers' love.

My great-grandmother ,while riding across the Kansas prairie as a pioneer woman, saw vistas of mountains and a distant dream of finding a home. The mountain of monotony caused her to gather up the materials of worn out clothing and cut them into patches, each fabric had woven into it a story. This dress I wore when I first got married, this shirt was grandpas, this was a baby blanket .

When the wagons stopped for the night, and after preparing a meal by the firelight, she would place all the pieces together until they formed a pattern of colorful combinations. Stitching them together, she would be thinking how warm and cozy her family would be snuggled under this quilt made on a wagon going west.

Wherever the journey leading them to the road that led to home took, eventually she and her husband and children would take a piece of land called America and make it a homestead. She let her love for God and her country make her a strong leader. At some point, she and her family stopped in the fertile plains of central Kansas and together with other families, they formed at town.

Today I am following her example and on my farm I will take the fabrics from our lives and start making quilts to sell so we can provide for our daughter and grand-daughters. We are the new pioneer women, and our love will hear the cry for help.

My husband was a hero in the war and has medals to wear proudly on his chest; as an army wife, I kept his children safe so he could serve without worry or fear for his family. I led with love and hidden in my heart is a hero that God touches me with His approval!

I have great hopes for a hidden hero to arise to become the leader that will love God and our country!

The greatest example of a hero is Jesus. When Thomas heard that Jesus was seen risen from the dead, his hopes being badly damaged by his knowledge of his Lords' death, said unless I see and touch his wounds I will not believe. Soon Jesus walked through wall, and came to Thomas with love and tenderness. He told him to touch His wounds, his flesh crucified open to reveal the hero that saved humanity from eternal damnation, if they would only believe. Jesus is hidden to those who do not believe and who have lost hope by their life experiences. Jesus walked through the wall of death and came back to deliver those who through the fear of death are subject to bondage; love led to life, faith in that love leads to over-coming abundant life!

(Is this a plain-literal or figurative-literal expression? Are the quilts physical items or a conceptual implementation of your narrated family history?)

an army wife an Army wife (What if it was Navy, Marine, Air Force, Coast Guard? Proper noun used as an adjective, "Army" in this case.)

>> I have great hopes for a hidden hero to arise to become the leader that will love God and our country! <<
(Very confused thinking here. A "hidden hero" is a hero because of some heroic thing he/she has already done, but which has not been publicized; not something to be done sometime, somewhere, in the future. Is merely expressing a feeling of love for God and country heroic? Does the hidden facts of previous heroism not have to be revealed for it to be a factor in gaining leadership through a heroic reputation? Is love of God heroic without the subject undergoing persecution? There does not seem to be a meaningful line of critical logic in this sentence, does there? If this leader's past heroics are not revealed, is he/she still a "hidden hero" unless he/she does something else of a heroic nature? So what are you really hoping for, and how would you accurately express that expectation?)

risen from the dead, his hopes being badly damaged by his knowledge of his Lords' death, said unless I see and touch his wounds I will not believe , his hopes being dashed by his knowledge of his Lords' death, said "Unless I see and touch his wounds I will not believe that He is risen from the dead."
(This is explicitly a quotation, and should be set off as such with quotation marks! But does the Holy Scripture record that Thomas did say this word s for word exactly? If not, then it is not God-breathed scripture, and must be expressed differently as being your idea of what he was communicating to his audience.

his flesh crucified open to reveal the hero His body crucified openly to reveal the victim of God's fiery wrath(added to illustrate the view of His status under God's acceptance of Him as the vicarious substitute for the depraved, condemned sinner).

The above is basically editorially corrective for the grammatical respects, but the last paragraph is so full of doctrinal misstatements that it is difficult to spend the time it would take to correct the thoughts expressed there. You should find some help to correct the grammar and line of logic, then rewrite this and submit it to the Religion Forum for a deeper theological examination, shouldn't you?

Just suggesting as a fellow writer who also makes similar mistakes, that also needed correction even in the first pre-post writing of the above comment. This critique is not meant in a condemning way.
