Those sneaky rounds of ammunition just slinking around until they find themselves a nice warm chamber to sleep in.

Sounds conspiratorial to me. The gun and bullets got together and decided a live round should be inserted instead of a blank.

maybe there was magical metamorphosis going on that we are unaware of. Like lead turning to gold, etc.
