Hannah Gutierrez has been identified as the armorer or weapons handler on the movie, “Rust.” According to reports, she laid out three guns on the Santa Fe set. One of them wound up killing Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza, fired by an unwitting Alec Baldwin.
Gutierrez’s LinkedIn page includes a resume note from this past spring and summer working at Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana from March through June. She described her job there: “Loading firearms with appropriately sized blanks. Ensuring gun safety on set along with instructing actors on how to use their guns.”
She is young and pretty, and according to LinkedIn a student at Northern Arizona University from 2017 to 2020 in “creative media and film.”
It’s unclear if Gutierrez was union approved or licensed, or still a student.

I was in aviation maintenance for 37 years, 16 years as a mechanic with hands on turbine engine components that flew on a regular basis. Flight crew safety was always in the back of my mind. The constant concern, diligence and stress over that time may have actually taken a bit of time off my life but I can safely say that nobody died because of my negligence.
Prayers for the victims of this tragedy...including Baldwin and this young lady that may be involved.
When you’re not quite as cute as you think.
Thanks. Thought of one myself for a change. I usually just steal somebody else’s.
You never point a gun of anyone kind toward something you don’t want to kill.
That’s all.
Hannah Gutierrez…..white hispanic????
She could be innocent and then their could be an unknown force at work here….not to mention an actor who is so stupid as to point a real gun at human beings and pull the trigger
Never take a weapon unless you check it yourself. A weapon isnt clear until YOU clear it. Otherwise its unsafe. Basic gun safety.
Why am I hearing in my head "This is my rifle, this is my gun ..." as sung by Gunny Hartman / R Lee Ermey (Full Metal Jacket)? Yeah, I know that 'guns' to the ignorant means any/all firearms! Perhaps this is the SOURCE of this tragedy, fail in proper nomenclature leading to carelessness in DANGEROUS usage! THREE such on a tray for someone to select THE PROPER ONE?
This is why experienced people talk about how bad 'learning experiences' lead to funerals! OSHA inspectors at all movie film locations?
There are 24 yr olds who can do that job but is she one of them? These poses with guns have always seemed to me to be stupid and childish.
Armorer is a specific, difficult, critical and absolute position that MUST be performed properly and ALWAYS attended or there WILL be tragedy.
Ironic her tat is a crow.
I took a gun safety course years ago and I remember the instructor began with: “First rule. The gun is always loaded even when it’s not.” Then of course the other rules.
“Literally, like, I’m a Hollywood amorer”
Not any more.
Pick the loaded one, and win a special prize!
And the assistant director who handed Baldwin the gun worked on the sequel to The Crow.
Reportedly, she did not. Management (ultimately reporting to Baldwin) asked her to set the pistols out on a tray. Some asst director selected it and later gave it to Baldwin. The chain of custody was broken. For all we know, anyone else, including Baldwin, could have put a real cartridge in there.
The purpose of Hollywood media fingering her is to divert attention from the circumstances surrounding the shooting itself, starting with why did Baldwin, an experienced actor and director, point the pistol at the cinematographer and pull the trigger? Did he willfully dismiss the risk? Did he even check the contents and the barrel of the pistol? Were there safety protocols that included his responsibility for handling the pistol safely? Did Baldwin deliberately exclude expert review of his actions?
As I’ve said for the last two days, if you or I were out hunting, giving a class, or some firearm demonstration and pulled the trigger in such a careless mistake, our @sses would be in jail for 3rd degree murder immediately
We are about to get another lesson in the unequal application of American law for leftist elites, and everyone else.
Because your experience easily sees Hannah's inexperience ...
