So when they ‘walked’ off the set... They left bullets in the guns? Hmm!
So a union guy sets up the scenario for payback?
You Don’t Say!!
This is the first I’ve heard about these very important details.
On a side note, I don’t think this particular movie ‘Rust’, will ever be completed. This terrible accident has changed everything associated with this film project.
Producers, investors, insurance rates, career utility.
I see Baldwin as 2/3rds liable here. The prop hands are 1/3 liable for using live ammo. Baldwin is 1/3 liable for pointing a gun at someone and not excercising trigger discipline. And Baldwin is 1/3 liable as producer - he has primary endresponsibility for set safety.
He’s hosed.
Union or Non Union doesn’t have one thing to do with it.
Those unions were threatening to strike for wages and working conditions.
Wait a second....Aren’t Liberals and the Left all about the working man, fair wages, wage equality, unions and folks being able to make a living wage? Isn’t that thinking one of the foundational ideas for EVERY DEMOCRAT and SOCIALIST POLITICIAN?
How could it be that Liberal #1, Alec Baldwin, didn’t want to pay a fair wage to the folks working behind the scenes?
So only union people know how to handle firearms? Whodathunk.
The movie “The Deer Hunter” broke a lot of the Hollywood gun rules.
Russian roulette tends to do that.
DeNiro wanted to load a real round during the scene in the hooch.
He wanted to add realism and tension, I read. What a freakin’ moron!
The Director said no.
Which opens up the possibility that a union goon planted live rounds in the gun in retaliation.
It’s a shame this happened but Baldwin is such an asshole I can’t help hoping it has negative consequences for him.
“...that the union members sabotaged the set?”
Once I read “union dispute” and “scabs”, that is what came to mind. No evidence to prove anything so far as I know, except that Alec Baldwin murdered the woman via criminal negligence.
Never handle a firearm you haven’t checked yourself. Never point a firearm at a living thing you don’t intend to shoot. Baldwin isn’t a small child and he’s not mentally disabled in any legal sense. Being a hotheaded clown and lifetime fool isn’t much of a defense.
So far I've seen no actual description or photo of the gun that Baldwin was holding when the shooting occurred.
Baldwin’s insurance won’t pay the related claims if he and his production company weren’t following proper risk management procedures.
Exactly.
There should NEVER be live ammo on a set.
Well ... not in any legal sense ...
I commented in another thread that they would be more upset at using scabs vs the death of a young woman. I hate being right.
Anyone that has been around firearms knows you NEVER point the weapon at another human being, EVER.
‘It’s a shame this happened but Baldwin is such an asshole I can’t help hoping it has negative consequences for him.’
The higher you rise, the harder you fall.
Fall, Baldwin, you arrogant man.
Presumably the police have the gun and are checking for any evidence for the alleged "misfire."
well this is his movie
hes the producer
so he’s facing multiple levels of serious consequences.
