Seattle police arrested a man on Tuesday after he pulled a gun on a store manager who disarmed him and took his weapon.
The manager of a convenience store in the 600 block of Denny Way watched a man grab about $200 in merchandise around 1:15 p.m. and walk out without paying.
When the manager followed the man outside to confront him, the man reached towards his jacket pocket.
The manager saw the handle grip of a pistol sticking out.
The manager hit the man in his hand, causing him to drop the gun. The manager quickly picked it up and ran back towards his store.
The man followed the manager, asking for his gun back and offering to trade the stolen items for the gun’s return.
When the manager called 911, the man fled on foot.
Seattle police responded to the scene. They seized the gun and searched the area but could not immediately find the man.
About two hours later, police found the man in the 400 block of West Roy Street, wearing the same clothes he had been wearing earlier.
Detectives interviewed the 23-year-old man and booked him into a King County jail for robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.

So true. Unfortunately, the smart ones often survive long enough to become very successful (and rich) politicians.
And with the way things are going in the state .... they’ll probably give him his gun and let him go!
FWIW, my wife worked for a state government agency several years ago, in one of the Blue States. The agency had to deal with tens of millions of dollars in fraud every year, much of it at the hands of the local "Russian mafia". Being a Blue State, with "political correctness nazis" running the state government, the employees were ordered to stop referring to the organized crime group as the "Russian mafia", or even as "the Russians", even though the group was comprised entirely of Russian immigrants.
In response, the employees began referring to the criminal gang as "the Swedes". It was apparently funny at first, although I imagine the humor dissipated fairly rapidly; nevertheless, the term continued in use, because it was a politically correct shorthand reference that everyone understood...
