Joining the conversation in progress: until the realization the song mentioned was Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer, believed the discussion was focused on the tune “Old Cape Cod”.

If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air
Quaint little villages here and there
(You’re sure) You’re sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod
(~sung by Patti Page)

If one didn’t know better Marjorie T. Greene might have been a Texan. LOL we’ll certainly claim her. When you truly think about it, she’s cut from the same cloth as AOC, but with more life experience and sanity.
Not that Georgia can’t produce such women! After all, there was Scarlett. :-)

Needing MTG clones.... Have you seen the woman in Nevada
running as Lady Trump for Governor? Her merits are unknown at this time, however, she does seem to have the potential to hit the mark in the same manner as Greene. Says a great deal about the future of the GOPe. The women fight stronger, longer, and are more skilled than most of the milk toast dudes who ‘want to be King of the Hill”.

Brilliant comment, V K. When you combine what Patti Page said with Nat King Cole’s tune, you pretty much summed up what Cape Cod was about back then...

In Georgia right now, I’ll be pleased as punch if we can just get rid of the RINO traitors like Brian the UnKEMPt and his sidekick, Rattsburger.
