I worked for the Omni corporation, upscale hotel, cottages, restaurants etc- and the amount of waste was staggering- We ate like kings while at work though- Everyone did- Some truly fine foods- I started working the morning shift, but quickly learned the best food was at night, so switched lol
I was a busboy, bell hop, set up convention rooms etc wherever they needed me. It was super fast paced. If you took your 15 minute break you would never catch up.
I had to have been burning 4-5000 calories per shift. It was grueling. I was thin and was playing 2 sports during the school year
I remember grabbing fillet mignon’s and eating them out of my hand no plate or utensils in the kitchen taking a minute break before running back out into the fray.
I bet I was eating 4000-5000 calories easily every day.
After work we would sit out in cars drinking beers making out with the older waitresses.
I hated the job but would go back in a minute.
