It’s been done before.
All a big game to them.
Biden’s like a two year old running around making messes with staff etc picking up afterward him.
Normal.
I should amend that to normal for this stupid situation we are in of running a country on continuing resolutions instead of an annual budget as ordered under the Constitution. Pass an annual budget and there is no debt ceiling to raise. The debt ceiling only exists when there is no budget and creditors might get nervous. So congress raises the debt ceiling which tells our lenders: “Yes we guarantee payment of our loan interest on this spending we have already approved and will spend over the next few months. Please don’t raise your interest rate on our debt.”
Is this really news? They talked about this when the last extension was passed.
I don’t agree with any of it…but this is now SOP.
