There was a case in Pasadena...I think..where a Resp. Therapist stole some drugs and injected them into pt's that he thought should end their sufferings..
That's been along time ago.....
That all said........I've seen some things in HC...that I don't want to see...and/or remember.
Wife's wanting "us" to keep terminally ill husbands...to make it another 3 months...because they had a prenup....
And family fighting over their mother and /or father's last will and testament!! While their "loved" one is terminal..and basically suffering.
I treat my horse, cattle and dogs better than that!!
Some docs and nurses do it out of neglect/ineptness/sloppiness as well
Iatrogenic deaths are over 250,000 a year
The iatrogenic injuries are figure and are even higher, in the millions
