Yeah, the Greeks only have a limited number of alphabets. The Chinese on the other hand, they have thousands.
So turn yourselves into human pin cushions, folks!
What now .... Epsilon flu?
I’ve never seen so much stuff that is obviously just made up as they go along.
A vaccine that only prevents hospitalizations and severe Covid-19 disease is not good enough to be used to combat a pandemic. From a global or even public health perspective, these are, therefore, not the right criteria to evaluate the success of mass vaccination campaigns deployed during a pandemic. Using these criteria as an indicator of the level of control over the pandemic will inevitably lead to a further escalation of this morbidity and mortality rates. There should be no doubt that non-transmission-blocking vaccines (i.e., so-called ‘leaky’ or ‘imperfect’ vaccines) can never ever control a pandemic, even though they may temporarily protect against disease. Only temporarily? Yes, indeed. Given the globally increasing immune pressure and concomitant infectious viral pressure, genomic epidemiologists have no doubt that this pandemic roller coaster will not stop before it takes us over the cliff into the abyss of complete viral resistance to anti-spike (S) antibodies. That is where all runaway trains of the different ongoing pandemics of highly infectious variants will be coming together and converge into a big whirl where they can no longer be distinguished from one another. The first stages of this evolution is what we now begin to see in countries which have already massively vaccinated their population (e.g., Israel). There is no doubt that other countries like the United Kingdom and the United States will soon go down the same path. Due to increasing resistance to neutralizing anti-S antibodies (Abs), these countries are now even beginning to shift from a primarily beneficial (i.e., less susceptible to severe disease) to a primarily detrimental effect (more susceptible to severe disease) in the vaccinated as compared to the unvaccinated.
New variants are more infectious but less dangerous. At this rate by next summer the latest variant will be most infectious of all but will actually make you healthier.
*no*
It’s a variant variant, the Limey Delta Variant.
I think I’ll get a T-shirt made with “I survived Delta subvariant AY.4.2” printed on it. In fact, I’ve survived every variant so far and without being vaccinated.
They have nothing to worry about, they have one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. These stats can not be true. No little COVID thingee can penetrate their great vaccination shield.
Just wait until they run out of Greek and have to start using the Elder Futhark.
Epsilon flu didn’t kill itself.
Please note my tagline re Lockdowns!
but is it less deadly?
Quick! Get your vaxx. Not because it keeps you from getting sick, because you have been told to. Right Admiral Levine?
“New variants are more infectious but less dangerous. “
That generally was true at one time, when dealing with natural viruses. In this era of lab-created and modified nucleic acids and unnatural selective pressure caused by semi-vaccines based on a single protein from the antigen, that isn’t necessarily the case anymore.
How convenient, just as the Delta variant cases slide to very low levels: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailycases
“New variants are more infectious but less dangerous.”
*****
Over a period of several generations, yes.
My theory is that in the meantime there will be a number of very dangerous variants over the years and eventfully the covid will get everybody, either as you age and develop comorbidities or you catch a nasty one, thus reducing life expectancy to the 60’s for developed nations.
That along with reduced fertility through the vaccines accomplish the global population reduction and control they seek.
Authoritarian government control and monitoring comes as a double plus good added bonus.
Monthly “boosters” needed!
Fauci did Nazi that coming!
