A 17-year-old girl was abused by hospital staff and had a plastic bag placed over her head as what the staff and administrators called "standard procedure" in a Texas medical center.

Oh this sounds totally believable.
Those “Staff” are very lucky that this was not my granddaughter that they abused. This 73 y/o Marine has little to lose at this point, and I would be very ungracious once I found out who they were.

According to the broadcast report, an actively contageous patient presented with symptomatic covid, no cling semi-rigid plastic bag was temporarily used as a makeshift hood in order to transport the patient from outside checkpoint thru the hospital entrance to the ICU ward where patient was likely provided with an IC-type hood or plastic tenting since the patient was.... contageous.
Alternately, they could have just let her contaminate elevators and hallways and nursing stations, so that those who had mild cases or no cases would become infected from airborne contagion....because feelings are more important than other humans.
Hope the teen recovers well. 17 is pretty young to have severe disease.

I had a patient with active T.B. and would not keep her mask on.
So I made it seem like I cared and placed a non-rebreather O2 mask on her with 100% O2 flowing.
Had a drunk that was a spitter……I did the same thing before the cop that was riding with us (the patient was under arrest) bashed his face in.
Now they have spit nets that cover the perps whole head but it’s a mesh so they can breath.
There is no excuse for the actions in this story.
