Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) admitted that there is no point in COVID-19 vaccine mandates on Sunday morning.
“The mandates are pointless,” Johnson told host Maria Bartiromo, according to The Gateway Pundit. “Now that we know that fully vaccinated individuals are getting infected, they can transmit the disease. Unfortunately, they are being hospitalized. They’re getting seriously ill. They’re dying. There’s no point to the mandate whatsoever. ”
Johnson went on to talk about the dangers of the vaccines, saying, “They’re completely ignoring the vaccine injuries. And Maria, people really need to understand this because it’s not being reported. It’s being suppressed.”
“But over 25 years with the flu vaccine, there were a little less than 1,700 deaths reported on the Vaccine Adverse Reporting System (VAERS),” he continued. “That’s CDC’s early surveillance security system… With the COVID Vaccine, we’ve had 16,766 deaths in 10 months administering this vaccine.”

Two of my grandsons (ages 10-12) currently have Covid (mild symptoms). Both parents are vaxxed. You can get it from anyone, vaxxed or unvaxxed. The vast majority of children recover - 99.9999%, or something like that.
Interesting. I don’t recall children getting sick at all from COVID in 2020. I wonder what changed.
Despite a nationwide adult vaccination rate of 60-65%, Covid deaths nationwide are about double what they were at this time last year, before the vaccines. Vermont has the highest vax rate in the country, and it’s cases are skyrocketing. Likewise in high-vax Maine and New Hampshire. Go figure.

Biggest mistake we made in retrospect was not defending our “back line” — the elderly. Instead we tried to defend everything. Close the borders and so forth. 1 infected person leaks through and your closed border avail you nothing. He who defends everything defends nothing.
Vaccination was a dead end. But it seems that the scientists already had them in the works. We’ve been played from Day One.
The religious self-certainty of left wing politics makes them unable to even consider any aspect of their actions might be wrong.

My concern is that somewhere there is a sociopath lefty who knows how to do math—and they will figure out that auto accidents are killing more people than Covid.
Then will start attacking anyone who drives as a mass murderer!

The VAERS website states that there have been 16,766 deaths from the COVID vaccine so far. Johnson went on to say that 5,400 of these deaths occurred within two days of taking the vaccine.

This comes after Johnson sent a letter to President Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin questioning the Department of Defense’s vaccine mandate due to the fact that troops have told him that they were receiving shots not licensed by the Food and Drug Administration.
Fox News reported that Johnson claimed that “multiple sources” have told his office that “the Department of Defense’s (DoD) mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations may not be in accordance with Secretary of Defense Austin’s August 24, 2021 memorandum” because they are yet to receive “full licensure” from the FDA.
Johnson also asked the DoD to provide to him all documents and guidelines regarding the vaccine mandate.
“The Senator’s concerns are twofold: that service members are mandated to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and regardless, service members may not be receiving the fully approved vaccine pursuant to the mandate,” said a spokesperson for Johnson, adding that vaccine mandates for service members and other professionals risk exacerbating “severe worker shortages,” most notably in health care settings.
“Vaccine mandates will increase these shortages and degrade our health care system,” the spokesperson said. “Reports on how mandates could weaken military readiness should concern every American, especially our commander-in-chief.”

On another forum there’s a thread about the California ports being backed up. In it, as one might expect, electric vehicles had come up and i supplemented these comments with a comparison between a properly used hybrid where electric is used to supplement gas for wheee gas is less that optimal — say start and stop traffic — and where one is used poorly where someone runs it in electric mode as long as one can and then and only then does the gas engine kick in.
I pointed out that in the real world a hybrid with a small gas tank gets refilled with gas rather than wait hours to recharge the battery.
Additionally I pointed out that true EVs are different from hybrids in that the latter, like all ICE equipped vehicles, scale their power supply to meet demand no matter the time or place … every EV only simply do not.
Those shouldn’t be controversial comments. But to too many people they are!
So then a nitwit weighed in making an equivalence between running a gas pump and charging an EV.
I pointed out that it takes far less power to run a pump, that a gas station could be in a full blackout powered by a portable generator, than to recharge an EV. You would think I’d spoken trash about his mom!
How long could that last? Well, you could start the generator with gas mechanically pumped out of the reservoir and run it if you had to, and therefore the pumps, for as long as there was gas.
Then he all on about how many tankers a day it takes to support a gas station … to which I gave him figures than ordinary gas stations (which usually have at least three holding tanks with up to 10,000 gallons of gas each when topped off) could easily go a couple days between a tanker … putting it in the longer category of power out rather than just a rolling blackout.
Then all of a sudden there’s two day power outages to be concerned about.
Does California have two day power outages? But he was set on presenting the hypothetical worst case scenario as if it was just this ordinary thing that’s gonna happen.
You can see where this goes. Nothing, no well reasoned and unbiased argument could possibly dissuade him from … whatever it was that set him off to begin with.
And he’s really seeming pretty much typical of rabid Leftwingers these days.
