Interesting, never heard anything about the smoking thing. Wonder if is the nicotine ? I still smoke but very little. It can’t be the tar. although these days you never know what is coming next.

I remeber reading about this early on in the covida saga. I’d quit smoking but still sucked (still do) on nicorette lozenges. They were the only thing that got me to quit- tried everything else. I haven’t gotten the shot, take vit d3, k2, vit c and zinc. I haven’t taken an antibody test but am pretty sure I had covid in February 2020, lost taste/smell, sicker than I’d ever been for 4-5 days, then got better fast.

What chemical in the cigarette is doing it ?

From the article:

Experts believe nicotine, the chemical that makes tobacco addictive, competes with the virus to binds with cells in the body, therefore blocking it from entering.

Scientists claim nicotine offers a legitimate avenue for both preventing and treating Covid-19, as the global race to find a cure to halt the pandemic continues.

Studies show nicotine may stop a dangerous immune system over-reaction called a cytokine storm - a phenomenon found to be killing many Covid-19 patients.

That’s because smokers stink. Nobody except other smokers want to get close to them.

Early on, this was recognized as a respiratory disease but never did smokers appear as one of the higher at-risk groups. How does that make sense? Glad there is now more sunshine on this discrepancy.

I remember it distinctly because my fever was off the charts and I was feeling pretty badly. Typically smokers are well advised not to smoke as it will often progress to bronchitis or pneumonia. Covid-19, being a boutique designer virus, is definitely different.

YES, I have heard that.

I can remember when there was a Senate hearing with all the major cigarette (Tobacco) companies.

And your point would be?

That you sheepishly use the term "take the jab".

Try to pay attention.

Your mom stinks.

Nobody except other smokers want to get close to them.

Your mom makes good money proving you wrong.
