For me, please no rap, bubblegum or disco (Bee Gees excepted) but there’s incredible music in almost every other genre.

I listen to Van Morrison more than any other artist. Bought ‘Brown eyed Girl’ on a 45 when I was 13, have about twenty of albums and/or CD’s. Have also seen him six times in concerts. His live bands are always filled with excellent musicians.

As far as guitarists go, which is Clapton’s strength, I listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn and Steve Morse. Also like the older stuff from Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher.
