Aspirin lowers risk of COVID: New findings support preliminary Israeli trial

Over-the-counter aspirin could protect the lungs of COVID-19 patients and minimize the need for mechanical ventilation, according to new research at the George Washington University.

The team investigated more than 400 COVID patients from hospitals across the United States who take aspirin unrelated to their COVID disease, and found that the treatment reduced the risk of several parameters by almost half: reaching mechanical ventilation by 44%, ICU admissions by 43%, and overall in-hospital mortality by 47%.

“As we learned about the connection between blood clots and COVID-19, we knew that aspirin – used to prevent stroke and heart attack – could be important for COVID-19 patients,” said Dr. Jonathan Chow of the study team. “Our research found an association between low-dose aspirin and decreased severity of COVID-19 and death.”

Low-dose aspirin is a common treatment for anyone suffering from blood clotting issues or in danger of stroke, including most people who had a heart attack or a myocardial infarction. Although affecting the respiratory system, the coronavirus has been associated with small blood vessel clotting, causing tiny blockages in the pulmonary blood system, leading to ARDS - acute respiratory distress syndrome...

I found it interesting that some participants in this study were also given hydroxycloriquine, you have to read deep in the study and I’m not smart enough to figure out what it means. Suffice it to say, aspirin use at 81mg cut most major symptoms in half.

The source paper in Anasthesia & Analgesia, April 2021, 132, Issue 4, pp 930-941 is here:
Aspirin Use Is Associated With Decreased Mechanical Ventilation, Intensive Care Unit Admission, and In-Hospital Mortality in Hospitalized Patients With Coronavirus Disease 2019, by Chow, Jonathan H. MD, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC, et al.
The paper is five month old. I'm surprised it's getting discovered now.

This might be one of the very few things I believe coming out of Washington, DC.

Horse paste!?!?!? Nah, aspirin is willow bark used by Druids in their pagan ceremonies.

Just wait till they start screaming about how dangerous it is (it is far far more dangerous than hcq or ivermectin ever was. More people die from aspirin per year than have ever died from ivermectin practically)

I take the 81mg dose of Aspirin daily. My cardiologist suggested that I do so. I am 77 years old.

Outlawed? No. But the FDA is already bad-mouthing aspirin, saying that it is either not beneficial for cardiac issues, or perhaps even harmful. Nothing of the sort was EVER heard since aspirin became a cheap and effective tool for heart/stroke issues in the 1980s...and ****JUST COINCIDENTALLY**** this stuff comes out within days of aspiring being reported as having a positive effect on Fauci-19.

There are NO coincidences - this is nakedly manipulative, and in the interest of the drug companies and the power-hungry politicians and bureaucraps (that’s spelled correctly, btw). We have been and are still being played - and ripped off. Any cheap and effective treatment is either banned, made very difficult to get or ridiculed - in favor of continued panic and a $700/jab experimental gene therapy treatment of dubious effectiveness.
