Good catch. Many (but not all) anti-vaxx studies are tainted by self-interest. And the exact same thing is true about pro-vaxx studies. So it pays to be skeptical.

No. Actually, France's health system commissioned a study to look a the effectiveness of the vaccines. A study to look at itself would have been a totally different study than what we are looking at here.
