The earth cannot be separated from the Universe and for all purposes must be considered as a part of the whole.

This is one of those backwards interpolations...if the earth is getting warmer than the universe must be getting warmer.

Except that cannot be so. The earth is related to "some factors. The Universe is related to ALL factors.
