New Report Suggests Why Kyrie Irving Isn’t Getting Vaccinated

Per Charania, Irving is upset with the fact that people are being fired from their jobs in places where vaccines are mandated. A close source reportedly told The Athletic that the six-time All Star wants to “be a voice” for people who have had their lives affected due to imposed vaccine regulations.

From the report:

Multiple sources with direct knowledge of Irving’s decision have told The Athletic that Irving is not anti-vaccine and that his stance is that he is upset that people are losing their jobs due to vaccine mandates. It’s a stance that Irving has explained to close teammates. To him, this is about a grander fight than the one on the court and Irving is challenging a perceived control of society and people’s livelihood, according to sources with knowledge of Irving’s mindset. It is a decision that he believes he is capable to make given his current life dynamics. “Kyrie wants to be a voice for the voiceless,” one source said.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Are any one of his team mates going to take a stance against this blatant discrimination? @KyrieIrving https://t.co/AsB9EjnkhN— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) October 13, 2021

Heck I consider myself “vaccine neutral” which means I believe in each person making their own decision and think exaggeration is on both sides of the debate.

But conditions are both forcing me to choose a side but also to be concerned for those who are being persecuted.

I do have a Higher Authority to answer to.

I can’t just twiddle my thumbs while the wrong is being done.

God Bless him if true. He earned my respect a few years ago when he refused to bow before Lebron “thinks he’s King” James and ended up leaving that team.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then, pretty much things were okay.

Inquiring minds wonder if he will get the same fawning media coverage that the kneeling crowd got.

Absolutely. And even people who have declined the jab, should support those who decided to get it.

There is not a right or wrong answer if you respect personal choice and freedom.

I have maintained people with comorbidities should get the vaccine unless they are well prepared for it.

My wife and I are not vaccinated, but we have family and friends that have been.

Both sides hope both sides stay safe.

support those who decided to get it.

Not the issue. Mandates are one way
Nobody is mandating a vaccinated not to work.
