I have had a blood test that red flagged an autoimmune disease and every doctor i have been to ignored it because the basic function tests didnt pick up i had the issue..and it just wasnt one set of doctors. It was every doctor across multiple specialities with different hospital groups. They didnt know what to do with the test. One Dr said..that test is usually ordered just by researcher. So what. It shows a problem
But it turns out the lab was telling them a key point...even to the point where it was spelled out by the lab that it indicates a possible tissue problem in a certain organ. If they just would have ordered an ana reflex titer test i would have been saved months of problems
I am livid and fed up with the medical community
They were waking her up for "tests" and meds every 4-6 hours in the "recovery unit".
She wasn't getting better, and I finally figured out why, because I've had experience [intentional, for research purposes] with sleep deprivation.
They were going to milk her gold-plated health insurance for all it was worth.
I have a mast cell disorder and have had no end of difficulty getting ANY action or assistance out of the medical community.
If it’s not something they can fix easily with a pill, like diabetes or high cholesterol, they don’t want to hear it, much less try to deal with it.
“I am livid and fed up with the medical community.”
Amen! to that. They have sold out. Where’s Marcus Welby who gives a s—t? Those days are long gone. It probably started in earnest with Medicare. The government was sticking their noses into everyone’s business. Also, it provided an opportunity for unscrupulous humans wearing white coats to pad their bank accounts by fraudulent billing.
Since WuFlu, it’s become much worse. Doctors are government agents first. Healthcare probably isn’t even second.
