I remember it clearly by what was reported regarding the Coast Guard rescue.
The rescue swimmer
was ‘reported’
as swimming to her first as she was the one who was most injured
It was
‘reported’
that the rescue swimmer performed CPR, and when she died , he then went on to the other survivors.
Two things jumped out to me as highly questionable
to the point of incredibility
of the ‘ reporting’.
First off
CPR
is impossible to perform
floating
in the water.
Obvious.
Second
In Coast Guard Basic Training
I was taught CPR
I was taught that once CPR was started
you can not stop CPR till a Doctor tells you can stop CPR.
So for a reporter
to ‘ report’
that a Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer
Performed CPR while floating
Then stopped CPR without Doctor instruction to stop CPR
and swam to check the other survivors....
Well....thats all kinds of flat out questionable bull crap.
