Seattle’s vaccine mandate may soon result in up to 40% of already gutted police force being fired
Biz Pac Review ^ | 10/10/21 | Joshua Nybo

The fighting over vaccine mandates continues, but the tug-of-war may soon displace a huge number of Seattle’s law enforcement.

The city of Seattle, Washington, recently established a vaccine mandate for all city employees, which includes police, with a deadline of October 18th – or face possible termination of employment.

Among those who haven’t submitted proof of vaccination are 292 police officers, and an additional 111 awaiting approval of submitted exemption paperwork, according to the Daily Mail. This creates a total of 403 officers that may lose their jobs on the 18th, if Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan enforces the deadline.

The loss would constitute 37 percent of the police force’s total employees. While this would be a staggering number of layoffs in any city’s police department at any time, the current situation of Seattle indicates that losing so many officers at this time would be a catastrophe.

As is, Seattle is already suffering from staff shortages not seen since the 1980’s, a spike in crime (particularly in South Seattle), and a city council that has vowed to de-fund the police, and rejected an initiative aimed at hiring and retention among the police force. The police budget was already slashed by 17 per cent in 2020, and the shortages come from the loss of 300 officers since the beginning of 2020 until now. Officer retention is so serious that sometimes there are as few as 70 officers on patrol at night in the entire city of Seattle.

How is it that a few a-holes in power get to destabilize society without consequences?

This situation is like the movie “The Purge” becoming real life.....

As insane as this idea is, I hope 400 police lose their jobs, I hope they all move to places that support law enforcement and finish out their careers...

These crazy socialist/communists need to feel the pain of their decisions, let Seattle fail, let anarchy prevail, anyone with one ounce of common sense needs to leave and let Seattle burn to the ground and be detroyed....in Ayn Rand’s Book Atlas Shrugged, all producers withdrew from society and let the everything around them fail, this needs to happen.

At least Seattle will save money on 911 as all they will need is a recording saying “Gee. That’s too bad.”

Crime rate will go down to nothing as there will be nobody to track it.

It’s funny. I was being served at a rural lumber yard by a kid barely old enough to shave. We were discussing the mandates, the kid said, “There’s going to be lawsuits about this for years and years.”

I’m almost certain every corporate lawyer worth his salt has warned management that mandating these shots is leading to unlimited liability. Yet, management for most companies is heading ahead at full speed.

IBM has announced that any employee not vaccinated by (I think December 8th) will be fired. Having been employed at seven major companies. The most competent people leave first. Typically, within days of an announcement like this. They already had suitors. Then, progressively, the most valuable people leave until you’re down to just ordinary competent people of average intelligence and they will be trickling out the door all the way up to the deadline. IBM will never recover from this.

I expect that we are going to have to wait for history to tell us how much of DC was infiltrated and corrupted under the Dark One.

It was bad enough, before, but I think the stage was really being set during that presidency.

I used to work for IBM (long ago), and in the few times I have run into them since I have always been left with the impression that they mostly gave up making meaningful contributions to society a long time ago.

What liabilities does the CCP face?

These companies must think they’ll be under a different form of law, when this ends.

At this point in time I think we could say that about this entire nation... But Seattle....it's like a city that's comprised of half sadist and the other half masochist...

But in the end I guess it just comes down to, well, like the man said, you get the government you deserve...

This is a test for the unions. If 40% are going to be fired, will the other 60% go out on strike to support them? Will the firefighters’ union, teachers’ union, and municipal employees’ union join them in solidarity?

Seattle can just luxuriate in the defunding of the police or replace the officers with Antifa and BLM terrorists. This is what they want so rationale people should just get out and watch the violence from afar.

Scroll down a small amount.

Click on the “Definitely not” button.

“Reps 23%” “Dems 4%”

Employer mandates are being seen as politically-related employee purging.

Corporations and politicians should know that there are wrong buttons to push.

“In its heyday, IG Farben was the largest company in Europe and the largest chemical and pharmaceutical company in the world.”

“The IG Farben trial saw 23 IG Farben directors tried for war crimes and 13 convicted.”

Baliff, what is the charge?

Murder.

Murder, you say?

“Yes, your honor, I’m the prosecutor, a young Republican woman died after her employer mandated vaccination, from blood clots.”

Enjoy life after your vaccination, boss, but don’t overestimate your power. Hitler made me do it is a better excuse than Biden made me do it, and the Hitler made me do it excuse didn’t cut it in 1948.

I support truly voluntary vaccination when medically indicated.

By the way, IG Farben was broken up.

Paws off the body, bossman.

It's the way of the world. Part of the human condition. Not unusual at all, in fact "normal" that evil prevails over good, on earth. many platitudes on the subject, "When good men do nothing ..." being one such.

all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed

See too the bad guys being in control of the legal system, often noted as "two tier justice." many examples of the legal system running hard aganst nominally decent people, the January 6 defendants being a small example.

And plenty of more significant events in history - genocides are also part of the human condition. The bad guys get away with it as least as often as they pay an earthly price.

It’s what the Seattle CC wanted in a way to eliminate the SPD without taking any blame; put SJW on the street with nice uniform asking people to be nice.

Voters in Seattle, like Chicago, LA, Philly, NYC, etc etc, must love being abused to keep electing the same old failure prone Democrats to run their city.,

That’s been my impression. I think the innovators die or they get kicked out of their jobs and cost cutting accountants start running things. I was actually at Honeywell when that happened. They went from doing things just to see if they could to watching every penny. As my dad told me, “Don’t gamble if you aren’t prepared to lose. Playing too safe is a guaranteed loss.”
