If ppl lose their jobs or their hours are cut due to shutdowns, that’s less income tax for Uncle Sam. They need us more than we need them. They can’t print money forever without citizens noticing it.
A friend of mine’s husband works for Southwest Airlines and the employees received a memo today indicating the cancellation of flights was due to weather and air traffic controller issues.
Go figure....now they are lying to their own employees.
Such terrible weather in the NEC area they have to cancel trains, damn you partly cloudy skies.

They would just raid our bank and investment accounts, jack up tax rates, and people would do shit about it.
There was also some severe drizzle.

Yep, my scheduled Bainbridge Island-Seattle 7:55 a.m. ferry was cancelled yesterday morning, making me unable to make it to King St. Amtrak for a 9:45 train. Daughter drove me to Tacoma, and was able to catch the same train. Dodged a bullet with Amtrak too - now seeing that they are also having staffing shortages. This is going to get worse before it gets better...
