Jacksonville Center ATC controllers walked out last night over the vaccine mandate. Shut the whole thing down. Total disaster for us and other airlines. Total news blackout, be sure you spread the word.
650 flights canceled so far. Our operation is still unraveling.
The pilots haven’t started to fight yet. That’s coming.

JUST IN: Airports across Florida are experiencing delays due to bad weather conditions.
Due to a combination of severe weather, active military training in the airspace, and unexpected limited staff at the Jacksonville facility that handles high-altitude, en route traffic, the FAA took steps to safely manage air traffic the evening of Oct. 8. Normal operations returned at approximately 10 p.m.
Regardless, it is confirmed that there were 10,028 worldwide flight delays and 2,428 cancellations yesterday. The normal daily number of the latter is 329. And check out the Jacksonville weather report for October 8th. No precipitation, 72 degrees, 5.1 MPH wind. What sort of “severe weather” is that?

I’ve posted this in a couple of other threads about this, but the Jacksonville ATC did not shutdown and the Controllers did not walk off the job, air traffic is proceeding normally today as well as yesterday.
I live in Jacksonville and track planes over my location using a Raspberry PI and software provided by FlightAware, 25-30 other users like me are in the Jacksonville and they are not experiencing any major drop in traffic....
Southwest Airlines is experiencing problems and have cancelled over 1000 flights today with dozens of others being delayed......
If the Air Traffic Controllers at the Jacksonville airport walked off the job, the entire airport would shut down that has not happened either....
About 6 months ago the Jacksonville ATC did shutdown due to a power failure and traffic over North Florida and up to NC, all had to be rerouted and nothing like that is happening today...
That blogger is wrong...nothing like that has happened to my knowledge...
One of the local Dallas stations covered the Southwest problems last night, but I was on the phone so I just saw the graphic they put up. I didn’t understand why they were blaming Jacksonville for Southwest issues at Love Field; this story makes some sense of the situation.

I am supposed to be travelling for the holidays. To Austin for Thanksgiving and Memphis for Christmas. So far, American Airlines (which is what I usually fly) has said no vaccine poassport, just for the reasons we are seeing here. IT’s impossible to do it in a timely way.

Well, that’s probably true if the Dems are at the helm. But the midterms are coming, and that will change things. Apparently, a lot of Biden voters have “buyer’s remorse.”

At this point, I think they would be willing to kill any and all Trump voters or people who don’t want their bodies subjected to an experimental drug.
My 22 year-old daughter got the shot because she’s doing an internship in a hospital and was required to do it. I wish she had spoken to me first. Whether I will ever have grandchildren is an open question.
I did ask her if she has had any changes or trouble with her periods, and she said no, so I guess that’s good news.
The problem is: NOBODY KNOWS.
So why are we forcing nurses, the military, etc. to get this vaccine? *cue the Pink Floyd song Money*
