I read the New York Post article. I agree that the comments are not actionable and they’re alleged just to get a snappy headline. There might be trespassing and assault (in the proper legal sense: assault is the threat to hurt somebody; battery is the actual hurting.) remember you can slap any number you want in a lawsuit. The number alleged has no relation to the recoverable damages here. And remember the Supreme Court has said that constitutional punitive damages can’t have a ratio more than about1:10 to actual damages. Tiny actual damages = tiny punitive damages, if any
Its not illegal to be a racist, and is not illegal to dislike homosexuals.
So unless any real harm was done like job harassment or discrimination, the lawsuit will go nowhere.
Yup, this one sounds like BS, but at least Dog had another crappy day yesterday as all of the poop he collected (from de Soto campground) was rejected.Dog said he was disappointed to learn that DNA could not be recovered from human feces.
