You’re delighted if it’s in your sushi roll, and it’s always top of the menu at your local bagel spot, but is salmon good for you? Short answer: Yes. According to Alyssa Pike, R.D., manager, nutrition communications, International Food Information Council, salmon is “packed” with nutrients.
“Salmon is a heart-healthy fish and a source of many nutrients, most notably the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), vitamin B12, and selenium,” says Pike.

There are many benefits of eating salmon, according to experts. Salmon is well-known for being a star on the fatty-fish scene. While many types of seafood contain omega-3 fatty acids, fish like salmon, herring, cod, and trout are particularly rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which is known to contribute to heart health by decreasing the risk of blood clots and lowering blood pressure. Here’s what else we know about the nutritional benefits of factoring salmon into your diet.

Not if you’re allergic to it.

Are there no actual intelligent actual-news reporters left on earth?

Maybe someone should post an article on that.
I buy Kirkland’s Alaskan salmon. It’s delicious and I eat it 2-3 times a week.
“I buy Kirkland’s Alaskan salmon.”
Is that in the freezer section? If so, that’s what we get, and it’s delicious. (Also the totals loins.)
I don’t like sushi, but if the salmon is good, I used yo buy a half pound and it raw when I was on a low-carb diet on Fridays. Instant protein dense meal.
I’ve been eating salmon since....well.....forever. Every few years another one of these articles come out that just...well... reinforces my lifelong habit of eating salmon.
No doubt some leftist creepozoid will try to publish something about / against salmon, but I will just keep eating it.
There are signs of intelligence on this thread.
Can’t have that.
There must be a way for trolls to disrupt it.
Full disclosure: My right to eat Salmon is backed by the 2nd Amendment.
In 1964 or 65 we took a vacation from West Texas to San Diego, to Washington, across Canada and and down the east side of the Rockies back to the Permian Basin. We bought Smokes Salmon and Cheese in Oregon and ate on it all the way back. We never did get the smell of all that out of that old 63 Ford Country Squire. Smelled like cheese, smoked salmon and old socks until the day Pop got rid of it. It was a glorious vacation and one I’ll never forget.
Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast is atreat.
It’s what I FEAST on when I’m on a cruise. My mouth is already watering at the prospect of unlimited smoked salmon on my next cruise in January.
It was disgusting to watch this and others like it. We quit eating farm raised pretty much anything except farmed clams and mussels.
My brothers kid’s all live in Oregon and every year they send me a big slab of smoked Salmon and an assortment of Tillamook cheese and smoked Oysters.
