A recent military study shows military personnel evaluated who received the flu vaccine were at 36 percent higher odds of testing positive for coronavirus (pre-SARS CoV2) with varied benefit in preventing some strains of the flu.
“Examining noninfluenza viruses specifically, the odds of both coronavirus and human metapneumovirus in vaccinated individuals were significantly higher when compared to unvaccinated individuals (OR = 1.36 and 1.51, respectively) (Table 5).”
The flu vaccine studied demonstrated varied benefit in flu prevention – – some strains showed significant benefit while others did not.
UPDATE 9/9/20: ScienceDirect truncated the study cited. You will need to purchase access to the study to read it in its entirety for $35.95. As the title of the study shows, the period studied, 2017-2018, predates the current coronavirus strain called SARS-CoV-2 that results in COVID-19.
Titled, Influenza vaccination and respiratory virus interference among Department of Defense personnel during the 2017–2018 influenza season, the report on the study addresses the phenomena of vaccine virus interference of the influenza vaccine…

Ask yourself…if the medical community knows this, why are they recommending we get Flu Shots during a SARS (COVID) “Pandemic?”
Why are soldiers forced to get flu shots during a SARS (COVID) “Pandemic?”
Caveat Emptor!
“Bbaaaaaaa! I need my flu shot. My dddooooctor said I neeeeed it.”
“As cold and flu season approaches, I want to remind everyone that Flu Shots render recipients vulnerable to SARS (COVID). This 2017-2018 military study provides conclusive data….”

I had the 2017 flu shot and, inexplicably, within six weeks my IQ increased by a standard deviation (from 140 to 155).
Do you track that weekly? Or Daily? Or what?
That’s the pneumonia vaccine that’s on TV all the time, Prevnar13. For 65 and older.
“One of the most interesting aspects of our findings was that the patients who received PCV13 received some protection against COVID-19, while those who received PPSV23, another pneumococcal vaccine, did not.”
Apparently, like all things in this confusing world, there is one pneumonia shot, PCV13 vaccine that helps re less Covid-19 diagnosis.
“Kaiser Permanente members who received the PCV13 vaccine appeared to be diagnosed with COVID-19 less often, and when they were, they seemed to have less severe outcomes, overall,” said the senior author, Sara Y. Tartof, PhD, MPH, a scientist with the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Department of Research & Evaluation.
“One of the most interesting aspects of our findings was that the patients who received PCV13 received some protection against COVID-19, while those who received PPSV23, another pneumococcal vaccine, did not.”
This study examined electronic health records of 531,033 members of Kaiser Permanente in Southern California who were 65 years old and older from March 1 to July 22, 2020. Among that population, 3,677 had a COVID-19 diagnosis, 1,075 were hospitalized for COVID-19, and 334 died from COVID-19.
Among adults ages 65 years old and older, those who received the pneumonia vaccine PCV13 had:
35% lower incidence of COVID-19 diagnosis
32% lower incidence of COVID-19 hospitalization
32% lower incidence of COVID-19 death

Well ,,, DUH !
The flu IS a corona virus..
Morons.
No the flu is NOT a corona virus. All strains of influenza are in the Orthomyxoviridae family of enveloped RNA viruses; all strains of corona are Coronaviridae (also enveloped RNA viruses). They are genetically quite distinct. There is a distinct corona virus that is one cause of the common cold; I bet that’s what you are thinking of.
I stand corrected.
All seven types of human coronaviruses cause upper respiratory infections. Symptoms resemble those of the common cold or flu and may include:
nasal congestion
sore throat
cough
headaches
fever
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Thank you.
Is there any way that some of the COVID-19 deaths are complicated by infection with pneumococcus?
How is the year over year death rate for pneumonia going anyway? Has government released the mortality statistics for 2020 yet?
I have a sister who, along with her daughter, have been getting the flu vaccine for years, religiously, and every year they both get serious upper respiratory infections which their care given, Kaiser, never gives a flu test for, but just prescribes typical “flu symptom” medications for.
Meanwhile, I never had the flu vaccine and never had a serious case of the flu.
I am not anti-vaxx as I certainly support all the traditional childhood vaccines for the traditional truly deadly diseases. I took them all. But a my age, after all I’ve seen the last two years, I’ve had my last vax.
I can’t argue with you. Not anymore.
